[Pythonmac-SIG] turning off "toolbar" without going fullscreen?

Is it possible to turn off the toolbar on the upper part of the screen 
in a normal (non-fullscreen) app? How?

(I'm trying to make full-screen windows on multiple monitors, which 
isn't supported by the library, SDL/pygame I'm using.  Therefore, I've 
been using full-screen sized windows without a frame.  This works fine, 
except the toolbar still appears.)
