[Pythonmac-SIG] MySQLdb module installation, no lib?

MacOS 10.2.6, python 2.2.2 [Apple], MySQL 3.23.56, MySQL-python-0.9.2

I'm having problems installing the MySQLdb module.  The build is 
looking for /usr/lib/mysql, which doesn't exist as far as I can tell. 
Is there some optional MySQL installation that I need to do?  The 
MySQL installation I got from Mark Liyanage at www.entropy.ch.
