I don't think this logo would be in Python's best interest and there are a number that would agree. Please remember that we are trying to *promote* Python, or at a minimum, convey a positive feeling towards Python, and that goal will not be realized if there is a sizable community with a strong aversion. ...whether some feel that behavior is immature or otherwise. Something less divisive would be better. 


OK. You've got a point. 
Let's ask Bob whether the artist could replace the apple by a MacPlus. Would that do?
