Try PyOXIDE and see if the same sort of problem occurs 
(http://homepage.mac.com/gandreas/).

If so, give me as many details as practical, and I'll try to fix the 
issue for the next release...

Of course, PyOXIDE is radically different in a number of ways from 
the way the old IDE is, so the issue may be completed avoided (or one 
of the other differences prevents you from using - in which case 
definitely let me know so I can fix it).
