"GUI program", in this context, means something that directly 
communicates with WindowServer.  Applications that talk to X11 do not 
count.  It's possible in theory to have a PyGTK that is linked with an 
Aqua (X11 free) build of GTK, so I won't say "no" straight off the bat 
:)
