[Pythonmac-SIG] ZODB standalone on Mac OS X?

I don't have an urgent need for ZODB right now, but I was wondering if 
anyone was working on making a standalone ZODB package for PackMan?

The latest version of ZODB indicates that it requires Python 2.3.3, and 
I'm not sure what the dependencies are, so this may be problematic on 
Mac OS X (Panther) with Python 2.3.0.
