I am on MacOSX 10.3.6 I installed TclTkAqua 8.4.7 from SourceForge

I launched IDLE and played with the font preferences and menu commands with
just a small script opened. It crashed after five minutes.

Is IDLE usable on Mac ?

If the answer is yes, which versions of the various components are
recommended ?
