Chris,

The first incarnation of i-Installer was a pain, but I've found the 
later versions to be extremely easy to use and trouble free.  That 
being said, it would be much nicer to  have self contained package 
installer or have a package in a Packman database.  Thanks for your 
efforts along these lines.
