I'll mention this to Kenichi. I think we should keep the snake  
connection, but I think if we adjust the blocks a bit, the P shape  
could be a bit more obvious, particularly when the icon is at smaller  
sizes (e.g. the dock icon). IMHO that might look pretty slick. ;-) I  
can't make any promises, but I think at least we can at least try  
moving the snake's head to the right a bit so it aligns vertically  
with the lower part of his tail.

Agreed. I personally think this icon is an excellent compromise. The  
snake connection is there, for those who want it, but unlike other  
icons it IMHO has a strong focus on Python being a building/ 
development tool, which I think lots of people in the past have had  
trouble trying to express as an icon. (I think the plethora of icons  
using simple snake imagery is precisely because of this. ;-)
