I found my problem. For whatever reason I had a export CFLAGS="-faltivec -lcc_dynamic - framework vecLib" in a configuration file that I carried over from a previous machine. I must have added it there to address the deficiencies of a previous compilation. Now everything works perfectly. Sorry for the confusion! Jeremy
