If you install py2app and then run the setup script below you'll end
up with IDLE-2.3.app in the dist directory. This application bundle
is 64KByte small and will start the IDLE GUI. Feel free to enhance
this with a nice icon.
# Begin of setup.py
import idlelib, os
import py2app
from distutils.core import setup
setup(
name="IDLE-2.3",
app=[os.path.join(os.path.dirname(idlelib.__file__),
'idle.py')],
options=(dict(
py2app=dict(argv_emulation=True)
)),
)
# End of setup.py
