The info there is sparse, but none of these seems to be cross-platform.

I need a sound player that works on unix, Mac and Windows. snack does 
the job, but the fact that it's tcl (with a python interface) makes it a 
bit complicated. (Also, some users report sound cues coming later and 
later after hours of running -- that *may* be an error in the way I'm 
using snack, but...).
