[Pythonmac-SIG] Can't import pyserial- after installing with easy_install on OSX 10.6.6

I've installed pyserail via easy_install by -> easy_install pyserial

When I import pyserial, it cannot be found.

Looking
at /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages
pyserial doesn't have a directory via the same name.

There is this pyserial-2.5-py2.7.egg however.

Is this typical for installing packages on OSX?
Did the installer not complete?
