Ah, that's it. Because I just had to comment out the @deprecated
decorators and it started to work for me - so I guess those
where changed in numpy 1.0.5.

Yes, thanks for your work on it. Let's get numpy 1.0.5 out, then into
Debian and other distributions, see if all is ok and then fix scipy.
