[SciPy-Dev] 1/f noise generation

Dear All,

During the course of using numpy/scipy for data processing I've noticed a
lack of routines for generating non Gaussian noise processes.

I'm interested in contributing code for the generation of 1/f (pink) noise,
and perhaps other noise processes, similar to the matlab dsp.ColoredNoise
routines.

Any thoughts on whether such an addition would be worthwhile?
