Hi Kaushik, thanks for your interest. Note that you're looking at last
years ideas list; we don't have one for this year and haven't yet discussed
whether we'll participate in GSoC (we'll likely do so though).
For things to get started with, you can have a look at the issues labeled
"good first issue". You can also have a look at the roadmap sections of
http://scipy.github.io/devdocs/ (note, a "detailed roadmap" section will
appear there in an hour or so) for ideas that match your interest and
expertise.
