Hi all,

today I stumbled across PyX: http://pyx.sourceforge.net

I figured I'd mention it here, since I'd never seen it mentioned by anyone in 
the science/python discussions and it seems nicely done.  With its tight latex 
integration (see the examples page), it may fit the bill for some.

Disclaimer: I have NOT used it myself, I just looked at the examples and syntax.
