Long ago I fixed that HTML by hand for personal use.  I've put it up here:

http://amath.colorado.edu/faculty/fperez/python/numpy-doc/

Travis, feel free to wget that whole dir and prop it up on the new numeric 
site.  I think this HTML version has most (all?) the problems in the original 
fixed.
