[SciPy-user] Scipy 0.7.0dev4167 ... 44 errors?

I wrote the hierarchy tests last week. The number of errors in
scipy/cluster/hierarchy* may sound overwhelming but most of them seem to
be caused by the same problem -- numpy.float96 not being defined. Is it
sometimes the case this type code is undefined, maybe because numpy was
compiled on a machine not supporting 96-bit floats?
