There was a discussion about this some time ago resulting in that I have
made the scikit, and the scipy wrappers were "scheduled to be dumped" -
there were some packaging reasons in that. It was not me who wanted the
umfpack wrappers go out :) - it was just more work for me with no
functional gain. So of course, the umfpack in scipy can be fixed, and
preserved, and I, personally, am +1 to that. But I won't commit my time
to that unless there is a general consensus.
