With python 2.2.1 (not that it would probably make a difference 
here): 
 
I have a one-liner mail message which I have recurrently feed to 
sb_filter. At every round sb_filter eats one character from the end 
of the message.  
 
The message is attached. Contrary to what I first thought, it 
seems to have the trailing newline.
