Summary: Setupproblem with multiple pop-accounts
Initial Comment:
Greetings.
I seem to encounter problems when setting up Spambayes on my
Linux machine for multiple pop3 accounts.
Concerning my setup, I use Python 2.3.2, eMail client is KMail 1.5.
1 on a SuSE 8.2 pro distribution.
Setting up spambayes for my commercial isp mailaccount, which
uses the default pop3 port 110, works fine. However, when I want
to setup spambayes for my GMX account, which uses pop3 port
995, I run into problems.
Declaring the GMX pop-server as pop.gmx.net:995 with the proxy
mapping to port 995 results in the following output upon start of
sb_server.py:
Listener on port 995 is proxying pop.gmx.net:995
However, when I ask KMail to fetch mail, it not only "hangs" for
around 1 minute, but also tells me that the server immedeately
resfused connection or that I could not connect to localhost.
Using my commercial isp account on proxy- and popport 110
works fine however.
Any clues what I might be doing wrong?

If you're using port 995, you probably want to use SSL.
SpamBayes doesn't currently support pop3 proxying over SSL,
sorry. There is a feature request open asking for it, so it will
no doubt be added at some point - feel free to add your
request to that, or to submit a patch to get it doing.
The request is #753708 Support POP over SSL
