Summary: SPAM folder disappears

Initial Comment:
Hi there!

I have a friend (not really pc literate) who calls
every so often and says his SPAM folder for his
Spambayes has disappeared.  This in turn causes the SB
program to have to be reconfigured and trained all over
again.

Have you heard of the SPAM folder just disappearing? 
Or is it a user malfunction (aka: the nut behind the
keyboard)?

I tend to think its the later.  :)

Encourage your friend to look in Deleted Items.  The spam 
folder is almost always found there, as a subfolder.  This 
comes from the user deleting the Spam folder themself, 
although users typically refuse to believe this at first <wink --
 but Outlook makes this way too easy to do by mistake>.
