Initial Comment:
Using Outlook XP, if more than about 6-7 e-mails come 
in at once, the messages are not automatically filtered 
and I have to choose Filter Messages from the 
SpamBayes menu. Background processing does not seem 
to do anything either.

Running windows xp and outlook 2003 I see the same problem.
 ON startup of outlook or when large qty of email comes in
not all messages are scored.
