Summary: SpamBayes + SSL/TLS POP3/SMTP connection

Initial Comment:
My university just began requiring all POP3 and SMTP
mail to be SSL/TLS. Now I cannot use SpamBayes to
check my mail in conjunction with Opera M2 mail client.

My intuition is that, because now SSL is used, I'll never
again be able to use SpamBayes (since that would be
like a man-in-the-middle attack of sorts, which is
impossible with SSL.

Hopefully I'm wrong, and there is some way around this
problem -- I'd really love to keep using SpamBayes.

Thanks.
