SpamBayes had accumulated *a lot* of boilerplate code to work around
shortcomings in Python 2.2.
Supporting such an old version didn't seem to make any sense. Given that
I wanted to dump
Python 2.2 compatibility I needed to decide what the oldest version to
support would be. I
settled on 2.4:
