Category: Outlook Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Scott Hamilton (mcleopold) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: SpamBayes can't register correctly with Outlook 2010 Initial Comment: SpamBayes is listed as an inactive add-in and does not have a location. When attempting to add the add-in manual, the message "'C:\Program Files (x86)\SpamBayes\bin\outlook_addin.dll' is not a valid Office Add-in." appears. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: https://me.yahoo.com/a/uEFiqoB2 () Date: 2010-11-08 23:44 Message: I had the same problem with Outlook 2007 on a 32-but Win7 machine. OL started crashing and the only way to get it to run was to start up with Spambayes disabled. But then I couldn't re-enable SpamBayes -- enabling it had no effect. The toolbar wouldn't show up, and when I'd look at my add-ins again SpamBayes was still disabled.. Reboots didn't help, and it was already listed as a DEP exception. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't work either -- until I uninstalled, renamed the spambayes program folder, and reinstalled. Now it's working. And fortunately, I didn't lose any of my settings or spam database. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: doe531 (doe531) Date: 2010-09-15 12:28 Message: I have the same problem with Outlook 2010 x32 and Win7 x64. "SpamBayes can not get registred". Changing DEP and access right for the SpamBayes folder did not work. Very sorry, we love SpamBayes too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Prateek M. () Date: 2010-08-27 15:28 Message: I am running Outlook 2010 (64-bit version) and I get this same issue. I assumed it was with Spambayes not being 64-bit compatible, so I manually compiled/linked this using Python 2.7 (64-bit) and the 64-bit version of the pywin32 for Python 2.7. This just made my Outlook crash every time I launched. We LOVE SpamBayes and would like support to be added for 64-bit version of Outlook 2010. Our mailboxes have gotten over 12GB and we need all the RAM usage we can get! We use Windows 7 x64 Professional ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Scott Hamilton (mcleopold) Date: 2010-07-29 16:03 Message: This is on a Windows 7 64bit machine running Outlook 2010 and binary 1.1a6. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498103&aid=3036652&group_id=61702
