Thanks for the ideas, guys.  pop3proxy.py now adds a simple
X-Hammie-Disposition header that says either "Yes" or "No ".

The code for pop3proxy.py now obeys the style guide.  Unlearning my habit
of putting spaces within parentheses is going to be hard (but the electric
shock device I've wired up to my space bar is helping a lot ) OUCH
