This is a known issue with the Outlook plugin. If you read messages
before the plugin gets to do its stuff, this happens (the messages are
set back to "unread"). There's a small, but significant enough to be
annoying, time window.

As far as I know, no-one has been able to track down the problem to
fix it yet.
