It might be more intuitive if we were to adopt something like the scheme
which ssh uses for port forwarding, "remote host:remote port:local port", so
the above would be: "pop.example.com:110:110, pop2.example.com:110:111,
pop3.example.com:110:112, pop4.example.com:110:113".
