[Spambayes] 'Connection timed out' problems

Hi all

Following on from my database problem of a week or so ago, SpamBayes 1.06a
has been working pretty much without problems. The one problem I've had,
about three times now, has been on a timeout to my ISP's pop server. They
(ntl) have been quite poor recently, so I should point out that I'm not
blaming SpamBayes for the timeout ;) The problem is that once this error
occurs, no email can be collected until sb_server.py is stopped and
restarted.

My question is then, can this timeout setting be monitored for, or maybe a
larger delay set 'somewhere'? I don't even know if this is a problem in
Python so not something you can directly address. I have seen this
question asked recently (Aug 23rd), but I can't track down any answers to
it.

Regards, Martin
