Bullard> The confusion is the same in your email as I saw on the site:

>>> Spambayes will work quite happily with Outlook Express.<<
You need to understand that there are several applications written which use
the same Spambayes spam classification technique. (You also took my reply
out of context, but I'll let that go.) As I indicated in my initial
response, there is a plugin for Outlook. That *does not* work with Outlook
Express. There is a POP3 proxy which will work with any mail reader (as far
as we know). It fetches email using the POP3 protocol and *does* work with
Outlook Express. There is an IMAP filter which works with IMAP servers.
There is an application which only works with Lotus Notes. Each of these
applications is tailored to a different environment but uses the same spam
classification engine. My guess is that you probably want the POP3 proxy.

Lots of non-programmers use Spambayes. Don't think of it as one program
though. There are several. You need to choose the correct one for your
environment.

Bullard> Ha ha.. that's okay. I downloaded SpamBayes-1.0b1.exe and ran

Bullard> found no wizard, no tool bar, etc.
Correct, because the POP3 proxy doesn't form a tight integration with
Outlook Express. You manage it from your web browser, probably by
connecting to
http://localhost:8880/
Bullard> Well thanks for answering my feedback, I can see from your

That is, of course, your choice. I think you might want to take one more
shot at it.
