Greeting all,

I'm trying to install spambayes on a Window XP system that uses Outlook
Express.

I've successfully downloaded and installed Spambayes. I have the pop3proxy
up and running and have configured Spambayes by opening a browser window to
<http://localhost:8880>. Spambayes is now configured to look at the Pop3
and SMTP servers that were configured directly in Outlook Express.

Now I need to reconfigure Outlook Express to look at the Spambayes proxies.
This is the part I'm having trouble with. The readme file say ......

You need to configure your email client to talk to the proxies instead of
the real email servers. Change your equivalent of "pop3.example.com" to
"localhost" (or to the name of the machine you're running the proxy on) in
your email client's setup, and do the same with your equivalent of
"smtp.example.com".

I've tried localhost and localhost:8890. (8890 is the port number I chose).

In both cases Outlook Express returns a failure stating the mail server can
not be found.

Any insights that can be provided will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
tm
