The "Advanced Find" feature of Outlook is usually the best way to find
missing messages.  FAQ 3.12 has some info:

I don't use Exchange Server myself, but I seem to remember that there
are some cases where SpamBayes is not able to move your messages back to
the Exchange Server Inbox when you use Recover from Spam.  If this is
the case, the messages probably got moved to the Inbox in your Personal
Folders instead.
