No, now that I know it, I agree the Outlook addin form of SpamBayes would be
too clumsy for you to use.

As for the rest, all work on this project is done by volunteers, in their
spare time.  There is no "intended audience" for the project.  The original
work was aimed at high-volume server-side filtering of technical mailing
lists.  It becomes more useful for more people as more people contribute
back to the project (code, docs, whatever they feel is lacking) to better
meet their own particular needs.
