[Spambayes] Google Desktop effects on Spambayes

Hello,
 
Does having Google Desktop installed prior to installing Spambayes keep
the installation from finishing?
I seem to have a successful Spambayes installation, but the Spambayes
Configuration Wizard never appears and
I cannot activate the Spambayes toolbar.
