If I understand your question correctly, you have files in your Spam folder
that you want deleted?  If this is the case, just delete them as you would
delete any file in your inbox.  Spambayes does not delete files; it only
moves files that it has identified as spam to the spam folder.

allows me " recover from span".  What am I not doing when I try to configure
