As long as they report real bugs that shouldn't make a difference.
What I find dangerous is that writing mail is so tempting that
people may forget to do their homework and research (via the
web interface) whether the bug they are about to report isn't
already reported.
This could result in a lot of spurious bug reports, which someone
has to review just to mark them as duplicate.
