Neal Norwitz just posted a problem report to the pydotorg list:

    It's taking minutes to load pages.  Which machine is running bugs?
    Does that server also need a kick from time to time?

Maybe some of those errors were causing Neal's problem.  Some transient 
routing error, maybe?
