While this is not too difficult to implement (it's just a matter of copying code from the python-dev instance and adapt it), I don't think it's worth doing it.
It makes sense spending time improving and maintaining the b.p.o tracker, because there are many users.  On the other hand the meta tracker is quite low-traffic and the benefits given by such improvements are probably not worth the time spent implementing it and maintaining it.

Roundup already converts URLs to link, so an easy fix to your problem is to provide full links rather that relative paths.
