I am not convinced. Meta tracker needs to be maintained in the same way as main tracker from security standpoint alone. If the maintenance of simple code to link revision and issue numbers is too burdensome, this is an indication that:
1. the solution is badly integrated in Roundup
2. Roundup extensions mechanism is poor
3. the two points above should be raised upstream
