Just a reminder that this month's TriZPUG meeting will be held this Thursday, March 19th due to PyCon. Dr. Bruce Sherwood, recently retired Research Professor and Distinguished Educator in Residence in the NCSU Department of Physics, will present the new Version 5 release of VPython. VPython produces navigable real-time 3D animations as a side effect of Python computations. Dr. Sherwood is one of the developers of VPython and the co-author of "Matter and Interactions," a two volume physics textbook published by Wiley. I look forward to seeing you there. I especially like the philosophy behind VPython. Please welcome Alex Ray to the list. Alex is in textile engineering at NCSU and may be helping us return to hosting TriZPUG meetings on the NCSU campus again in the future. Our next meeting will be at a new location. http://trizpug.org/Members/cbc/apr-09-mtg Brad Crittenden has arranged for us to meet at Carrboro Creative Coworking: http://www.carrborocoworking.com/ So if you were wondering what the coworking movement is all about, come find out at the April meeting. Carrboro Creative Coworking is within short walking distance of Milltown and The BBQ Joint and has free on-premises parking. Ruby and Erlang groups also meet there. Chris Rossi, would you want to do one of the presentations you were asking about at the meeting last night (repoze.bfg prep presentations on WSGI, Paste, etc.)? -- Sincerely, Chris Calloway http://www.secoora.org office: 332 Chapman Hall phone: (919) 599-3530 mail: Campus Box #3300, UNC-CH, Chapel Hill, NC 27599 From chris at christophermrossi.com Mon Mar 23 17:39:37 2009 From: chris at christophermrossi.com (Chris Rossi) Date: Mon, 23 Mar 2009 12:39:37 -0400 Subject: [TriZPUG] TriZPUG Meeting, Thursday, March 19th In-Reply-To: <49C3E151.6060104@unc.edu> References: <49C10FD7.5080402@unc.edu> <49C3E151.6060104@unc.edu> Message-ID: <60bf02c00903230939j6d81545fyb92ae45730741a23@mail.gmail.com> On Fri, Mar 20, 2009 at 2:32 PM, Chris Calloway wrote: > > So if you were wondering what the coworking movement is all about, come > find out at the April meeting. My hope would be to keep it 10-15min. No more than 20. This could then pave the way for a later primer on Zope Component Architecture, repoze and specifically, repoze.bfg. Sound reasonable?
