I work on the Pulp Project[0][1] and am interested in presenting some work I've been doing on it that may be useful to you. Pulp is a datacenter management tool that aides in creating software repositories and pushing software out to consumers. Historically it has focused on Yum and Puppet repositories, but lately my team has been focusing on writing many new plugins. I've recently been making a set of Python plugins for Pulp that will allow you to use Pulp to host pip repositories[2]. Currently (on my development branch) it's possible to upload Python source tarballs to a Pulp repository, publish that repository, and use pip to install packages from it. There are many possibilities that I've not yet implemented: * Synchronize packages from PyPi * Use Pulp to manage virtualenvs on remote machines * Copy packages between Pulp Python repositories to aid in dev --> testing --> production workflows * ?and more! I've not yet reached a point of making a release of this new plugin as it's in the very early stages, but I would like to show you all what I've been doing and talk about the possibilities for its future if you are interested. We'd love for you to get involved and help us build this together as a community!
