What specifically do you need help with? Do you need help approaching 
the problem? Do you need help with some specific detail? People on the 
list are more likely to help you with something specific--or several 
whole things--than write a whole hangman program.

Have you read How to Think like a Computer Scientist ( 
http://www.ibiblio.org/obp/thinkCSpy/ )? That's a little long, but in 
the end it's a big shortcut.
