My two thoughts.

1) is there actually a directory named "my documents" at the root?  I 
don't know about Win2000, but for Win XP, the "my documents" directory is 
actually 

 C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents

2) The embedded space may be the issue, although I doubt that's it.
