I also started on punched cards, for maybe the first 30,000 "lines" of
code. I also had to deal with paper tape for object file transport.
Talk about unreliable.
Any chance you were a customer or vendor of Wang? That 80mb drive,
dumbed down, for prices around $20k, rings a bell.
