It doesn't need to be terribly complicated, something called pyenv can
manage the install for you (yes, it will build it if needed).
pyenv install --list
to show what's available to install
pyenv install 3.6.0
to install a copy
If you set up the shell helpers, pyenv will let you create the
virtualenv and launch it:
pyenv virtualenv 3.6.0 test-3.6.0
pyenv activate test-3.6.0
