ARGHHHH! 1111 1111 (space inserted for visual clarity) truly is ff in
hex. Again ARGH!!!
All I can say is that I have not had to consciously think in bits,
octal or hex in quite a few years. Oh, well. You were quite nice in
pointing out my grave mental lapses!
