Only Scott and I showed up so after 15 minutes we packed it in and
headed out for after-meeting festivities. Scott, who arrived a few
minutes earlier, said there was another group that thought they had
the room booked, so perhaps some others came early and left not
knowing where we were - anyone?

I suggest we move October's topic, Python IDE's, to November's
meeting.

I learned quite a bit more about IPython in the past 2 weeks and it is
even more useful than I had realized earlier - you won't want to miss
my presentation.

Who else is planning to present?

Stuart.

Hmm... odd that someone else showed up. We've had the room booked since
the beginning of Sept.

I know I've sometimes used the room without reserving it if it appears
to be free, but only on an informal basis.

I'll be attending the meeting and giving a presentation on Stani's
Python Editor.

I saw some very neat tricks with IPython at the Plone conference.
Extremely useful as an interpreter shell.

Syd

That's what happened with me. I was there at 7:00. Even security
said there was no meeting. Shows how dependent I am on the mailing list.
When my regular account was sent to Limbo I got the time wrong.

    Can do.

Absolutely! Same with Idle. Any chance someone with a laptop could
install it so I can demo it? I'd rather not drag my mini-tower and CRT
monitor around. It is the production machine after all. ;-)

Like I said, I'll do Idle.

They did some weird split with room 2M70. I haven't seen it, but I
believe it's now 2M70 and 2M71 or something like that. So it's possible
that there may be some confusion with that....not sure.

Don't forget our meeting this Wednesday evening about various Python
IDEs. Logistical details ar at http://www.winnipug.ca. We probably
won't meet on December 27th, so this may be this year's last meeting.

I'll be presenting on IPython, Emacs, and IPython from Emacs. I found
the quote of the week from the October 16th Dr. Dobb's Python-URL
posting appropriate to my presentation:

QOTW: "Well, I haven't yet seen a definition of 'Integrated
Development Environment' which would exclude Emacs..." - Slawomir
  Nowaczyk

Who else is presenting?

Stuart.

I'll do Idle. If someone wants to install it on a laptop I can demo it.
Otherwise I can just work from notes. Without the demo it'll be no more
than five minutes with the demo it could be as much as 15 minutes.
