| I can see DTDs becoming a "compatability only" way of doing schemas.

| 9 out of 10 XBEL aware apps will use non-validating XML parsing!

Both these points are valid, but IMHO the XBEL DTD is still a good
idea because it concisely and formally defines XBEL and at the same
time provides a means of validating XBEL documents.

Other than that I definitely agree with the 'keep it simple'-camp.
